Maho Bay, US Virgin Islands
An eco-friendly hot spot, Maho Bay is unique to St. John. Maho Bay offers Eco Tents for guest accommodations. The beach is narrow as compared to others, but has calm waters and snorkeling. Cruz Bay is about 5.5 miles from Maho bay. Parking is along the road where groves of palms and maho trees have been carved out for parking spots. Along the eastern end of the beach is the Goat Trail that leads you to the Campground at Little Maho Bay. Due to Maho Bay's eco-friendly nature, volunteers come clean up the beaches and work on environmental projects like glass recycling.
