St John Environment

St John has an untarnished and pristine environment, sporting a national park that encompasses 75% of the island. Within the park's boundaries, there are several resorts, such as Caneel Bay, that operate on a lease agreement while the park retains ownership of the land.

Another unique feature of the environment-friendly island attitude is the emergence of Eco-tents as a resort alternative. Each Eco-tent has its own rain resevoir, self-contained solar system, and compost. Ammenities like a pool, use of laundry services, and neighborly sharing of unused supplies, can all be found near the registration room.
